TEMPTING FATE

Pure white standards, pale lilac falls, deeper towards edges. Discreet orange beard. "Astrid C." gives a strong feeling of freshness.

Difficult to describe the colours hover between plain pink amaranthe and light raspberry red, becoming paler under the tangerine beards. Good-sized, wonderfully shaped flowers with ruffled edges. Exemplary stalks bearing 9 to 10 buds on average.

Wonderfully shaped, amply ruffled pinkish lavender. Wide falls, slightly paler toward the centre. Beards are tangerine toward red. A classic tone but with a quality finishing. Really a useful tone in our gardens! (Cayeux seedling 10 355 A)

If you liked "Badlands" and "Black Suited", you will no-doubt also be attracted to their slightly lighter-coloured but taller offspring, with its violet-leaning-towards-black standards of glistening satin. Plentifully branched stalks gracefully carry 9 or so superbly shaped ruffled flowers... A "full house", wouldn't you say?

Wonderful contrast between the pure white standards and the velvety, very dark violet falls, nearly black when the flower first opens. Deep egg yolk yellow beards light up the whole. Moderately sized flowers with ruffled edges, a well-proportioned plant. We are very happy to call this iris after the famous Gien pottery in our neighbouring town.

Pastel tones inherited from its parent, 'Wishful Thinking': soft Wysteria blue standards, darker towards the heart. White falls with hues of pinkish lavender. Pinkish-orange beards. A vigorous plant with a noticeable sweet fragrance.
