The very last one to flower! Pure light yellow standards and white falls with a wide, dark blue-violet brim. Orange beards sometimes lengthened by a violet spoon and surrounded with yellow markings. Very strong substance. Well-branched stalks carrying 8 buds.
In our opinion, the blackest among the "black" tall beardeds. Standards and falls show the same intensity of black and the beards are black too. Elegant flowers, moderately ruffled. Slightly musky fragrance and very vigorous growth. Pleasant fragrance.
Bluish-white standards with a touch of grey, velvety violet-purple falls with a lavender border. Quite fine smoky, orange beards. Beautiful low branched stems. Similar to ‘Profond Mystère’, but superior, in our opinion. (Cayeux sowing 11 193 A).
Tall stems, large ruffled flowers, extremely vigorous: it is a new deep violet of noble stature. Beards of the same colour. Each rhizome can produce three or more fans and each stem carries 7 to 8 flowers.
Marvellous really pure mid-blue, bred from two equally wonderful blues: "Yaquina Blue" and "Oregon Skies". Yellow beards tipped with blue, nearly invisible in this cerulean ocean. Very big flowers (10 cm x 16 cm), gently ruffled.
An original variety with a “double border”: white falls with medium blue-violet border adjoined by another thin border, 5 mm wide, which is bluish white. Pure white standards. Pale yellow beards with shoulders in the same light yellow colour. Three branches per stem and 9 buds on average. Heavily frilled. (Schreiner 2009).
Had I to choose a favourite among my hybrids for 2018, it would no doubt be this one! A unique 2-toned red: medium brownish red standards that lighten a bit over time. Dark Burgundy red falls, lighter along the edges. Exceptional shape and branching with an average of 8 buds. Beards are medium brown. (Cayeux seedling 06 33 A)
Excellent variegata with old gold standards flushed burgundy at their base and velvety cherry black falls, narrowly edged with gilt-brown. Old gold beards. Superb stalks with 3 branches and 9 to 10 buds. Ruffled flowers and vigorous growth.
Flowers of immense size (17 cm in diameter) showing a new colour pattern. The standards with finely serrated edges are creamy peach and the white falls have a unique pink-purple border (4 cm wide). Bright tangerine beards bring more light to this colour carnival. Round flowers moderately ruffled.
A choice contribution in the medium blue category (not so developed elsewhere). Gracefully wavy semi-horizontal falls with fairly discreet light blue beards. Good branching and 7 to 8 buds on average per stem. Really very, very blue! (Cayeux Sowing 09 202 A).
White just flushed pinkish cream, this being slightly darker at the centre of the standards. Pale yellow beards tipped with orange and shouldered with apricot. Gracious flowers with crimped edges. Sometimes reblooms at the end of summer.
