Derived from 'Tabac Blond' and 'Golden Panther', this is a pretty amaranth red, slightly coppery, well composed and enhanced by the radiance of it’s vivid, bright red beards. Excellent shape, regular waves and very good foliage qualities. (Cayeux seedling 10 186 B).
| Brother from the same sowing as ‘Masque Noir ’with slightly smoky yellow standards, and falls have a white ground which is edged, as well as almost entirely dusted with purple-violet; standards are thin at the base allowing the long orange beards to show. Very interesting and new! (Cayeux seedling 12 319 A). |

Name after the exquisite French Jouy tapestries, famous for their delicate stitching. Pure white standards flushed with lavender at their edges, very pretty purple falls sporting a wide white centre around the bright red beard. Exemplary stalks with 4 branches and an average of 9 buds. Multiplies up fast. | Gracefully shaped flowers with sky blue standards and darker blue-violet plicata markings on ruffled ivory falls. Popular iris, prize-winner several times despite a moderate average count of buds (only 5 to 6). | Pure white standards and white falls with a wide pure mid-blue border. Pale yellow beards. Excellent grower and bloomer. "Alizes" gained the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2000. | Broad flowers showing a lovely contrast: pale blue standards on wide and velvety pansy violet-blue falls, lighter on edges.
