FROSTED VELVET

This is a delicate, soft, pinkish apricot with a tangerine beard. Nice wavy shape and good substance, with excellent branching. An in-between colour, delicate and very decorative..

Bright golden yellow with red-brown veins on falls. Orange beards. Nice shape and warm contrast.

A well-known German artist and great lover of irises, Dietmar Brixy himself selected this iris in our presentation garden during the 2011 flowering. White standards delicately tinted with pale amber yellow rise up from wide, mid-violet, nearly horizontal falls, their edges emphasised by a narrow bronze strip (2 mm). Very strong flowers lit up by the bright yellow beards. Strongly perfumed, 8 to 9 buds on average.

Pure bright yellow with a central white stripe on the falls and an orange beard which ends in a feathery white spur. Excellent low branching with 4 stems. The numerous buds: 8 to 10, ensure a long flowering period, late in the season.

White standards, white falls lined with closely spaced purple veins going from beard to edge and bordered with a narrow white rim. White beards tipped orange. Border bearded variety. (Black 2006)
