"Paul Black" and "Alpenview" are the proud parents of this astonishing inversed amoena and its majestic 15 cm by 15 cm flower which is dedicated to Villa Erba, residence of the famous Italian film-director, Luchino Visconti. The magnificent wisteria-blue standards are darker at the centre, whilst the large bluish-white falls are elegantly undulated with ruffles. The mandarin-coloured beards of this really vigorous and fragrant new variety have lighter tips.

Exquisitely ruffled flowers of intense garnet-purple colour. The tall thick stems display 8 to 9 flowers each, that can endure both the sun's heat and spring showers. This perfect iris won the first place, in 2000, at the prestigious Iris Competition of Florence.

Pale pink standards and pinkish white falls which are amply veined with magenta, yielding an intense pink effect. Beards are of a soft yellow. Graceful flowers.

Pale lavender-pink standards, cream falls with a fine, precisely marked, purple border (5 mm). Wide orange-red beards marked to the tips with streaks of purple dots. Medium-sized, compact flowers with lively ondulations. 8 buds.

A very appealing Amoena with pure white standards infused with pale apricot as the buds open, and copper-apricot falls. Bright tangerine beards. The falls are vigorous, nearly horizontal and closely ruffled at the edges. Well-balanced strong stems.
