This is the very own sibling of our iris 'Pesselières', introduced in 2016, and like its brother, hued in mystery. It boasts standards of a very light blue and velvety horizontal dark-violet falls with a fine light crimson border (2 mm). Thick copper orange beards. The stems are well balanced with low ramification.

What's new in "Cape Perpetua"? Not its colour: light and plain blue with white beards, but its shape: both standards and falls show lacy, frilly edges and this is unique in its category. A really charming blue iris!

A well-known German artist and great lover of irises, Dietmar Brixy himself selected this iris in our presentation garden during the 2011 flowering. White standards delicately tinted with pale amber yellow rise up from wide, mid-violet, nearly horizontal falls, their edges emphasised by a narrow bronze strip (2 mm). Very strong flowers lit up by the bright yellow beards. Strongly perfumed, 8 to 9 buds on average.

An excentric son of "Romantic Evening" with white standards and falls between off white, brown and light copper. Bright rust-red beards add character to this amoena. Styles are white tipped with copper brown. Shafts with 2 to 3 branches, each carrying 8 to 12 buds.

Standards stark white; style arms white; falls stark white, greenish texture veins; beards red, white at end; heavily ruffled and laced; pronounced sweet fragrance.

It has a classical shape and is one of the best blue bi-tones today. Silver-blue standards and wide ruffled deep hyacinth blue falls. Excellent stems yielding 8 to 10 buds. Very good garden value.
