LUMARCO

Revived historic variety dating from 1936, which is new to our collection. An agreeable and graceful amoena with red-purple falls edged with a fine white strip. Bright yellow beards and a slight aniseed perfume.

Bred from "Coup de Soleil" this variety has kept its parent's unparalleled brightness. The flowers are of a moderate size but in good proportion to the foliage. Rich copper red, with fine crimping on the edges and beautiful tangerine beards. Branched stems bearing 8 buds on average. We are honoured that the famous company Hermès has adopted this new iris.

The sturdy moderately ruffled flowers are a charming, totally plain, light blue-violet. Numerous flowers produced on perfect stems (up to 10 buds on each). Light blue-violet beards tipped yellow. Exceptionally vigorous, it rapidly forms big clumps.

Pale copper standards with rippled and gently crinkled edges, falls of the same colour but clearly lighter which are also rippled and crinkled to frame an orange beard. A magnificent stem, with low branches, very large flowers and plenty of buds: between 10 and 11 on average. One of the last to flower.

Broad flowers showing a lovely contrast: pale blue standards on wide and velvety pansy violet-blue falls, lighter on edges. Small tangerine beard with a white end. Good grower.

It has look and personality. White standards with rich lemon infusions, large and ruffled white falls with a touch of lemon near the soft yellow beards. Superb show branching very consistent.
