MONSOON MOON

A spicy warm variety: pure bright medium-yellow standards, falls between red and black with a yellow centre that spreads out in fine yellow streaks. The yellow-orange beards quite often end in a little dark red spatula, which gives an extra original note to this "spicy" flower. Winner of the "Public Prize" at Franciris in 2011

Very graceful small orange iris of strong substance with large, nearly horizontal falls. The flowers are average-sized, compact and well-proportioned in relation to the plant. The beards are mandarin-toned and the stem carries an average of 7 buds.

A good French-American cross: 'Irisades' x 'Calypso Beat'. Standards of a light butter-yellow, wide, nearly horizontal falls of a purple somewhere between mid-tones of aubergine and velvety claret-red, turning somewhat lighter towards the yellowy-orange beards. A clear contrast. Gorgeous ruffled edges and a strong stem.(brother to our 'Si Tendre' new variety)

An outstanding and aristocratic descendant of 'Fit for a King': Pure white standards and purplish plum coloured falls underlined by a narrow white edge. Stalks are tall with numerous flowers (average of 10 to 13 buds).

New, beautifully shaped yellow! Golden yellow, slightly amber standards and very wide yellow falls with a small white area under the orange red beards. Compact, very well-balanced flowers, good branching, vigorous. Certainly one the best yellows with a red beard.

Creamy white standards, chalky white fall centres lined grape and shading to light butterscotch and narrowly banded white. Tangerine beards, ends tipped white. Strong show stalks with up to 9 buds and nice ruffled form . (Johnson 2014)
