TABAC BLOND

Name after the exquisite French Jouy tapestries, famous for their delicate stitching. Pure white standards flushed with lavender at their edges, very pretty purple falls sporting a wide white centre around the bright red beard. Exemplary stalks with 4 branches and an average of 9 buds. Multiplies up fast.

Years of research were needed to obtain this rare jewel which offers a striking and clear contrast: practically pure white standards with an almost imperceptible violet border and jet-black falls with golden yellow beards. These wide flowers are ruffled on the edges and stand on a well branched stalk. Previewed at the 2012 edition of the Chelsea Flower Show, they were a huge success with the new varieties enthusiasts.

Yet another new colour pattern! White standards edged with a fine golden strip, white falls amply spotted with purple, especially near the orange beards. An egg-yolk yellow border (6 mm wide) completes this superb canvas. Tall stems and late-flowering.

Medium claret-red standards and velvety garnet-red falls with bronze coloured beards. Quite floriferous.

A rare bicolor featuring pale lavender-blue standards with falls of yellow with a hint of ochre or golden yellow and thin but neat white ruffles. The orangey-yellow beards are very subtle, almost going un-noticed. The combination creates a really interesting contrast for this prolific specimen. You can expect an average of 8 buds per stem.

A charming historic variety of pure white carrying numerous small and light, slightly "crumpled" flowers. Beards are golden toward the centre with white tips. A strong plant, multiplying well.
