New and very pretty combination of colours : pale blue standards and wide falls mid-purple with a narrow clear lavender border (5 mm wide). Discreet coppered yellow beards. Gently ruffled and Well-branched. We are very happy to dedicate this new gem to our friend Viviana who grows the major part of our varieties near Buenos Aires. | Faïence de Gien's excellent seedling brother is very elegant but taller. Its exceptional lower branching stalks carry 7 to 8 buds. It features milk-white standards whilst the very wide white falls have lovely violet and purplish black borders (over 2 cm) and are veined with fine lines of the same colour which run parallel to the golden yellow beards. | Years of research were needed to obtain this rare jewel which offers a striking and clear contrast: practically pure white standards with an almost imperceptible violet border and jet-black falls with golden yellow beards. These wide flowers are ruffled on the edges and stand on a well branched stalk. Previewed at the 2012 edition of the Chelsea Flower Show, they were a huge success with the new varieties enthusiasts. |
New and strange: absinthe yellow to buff yellow standards; almost horizontal falls, absinthe to amber yellow with a hint of light violet below the bronze yellow beards. Prolific plants producing numerous tall stalks with many buds. Strong ruffling. |
