Its semi-horizontal standards and falls of bright yellow have small ruffles and the slightly singed orange beards tail off into a small spur. White standards deeply tinted acid yellow from their base to the two thirds of their height. Almost horizontal falls, light ocher yellow with a creamy white rim. Orange yellow beards quite discreet. The shape of the flowers is stunning as the whirling dervish dance. Branching is perfect and offers 8 to 10 buds.

Popular iris, prize-winner several times despite a moderate average count of buds (only 5 to 6).	Pure white standards and white falls with a wide pure mid-blue border. Pale yellow beards. Excellent grower and bloomer. "Alizes" gained the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2000.	As warm as the south of Spain: bright and pure yellow standards and velvety red falls.
